The Story Behind Our 00 Scale Model Railway Gauges

Our 00 scale model railway gauges were inspired by my grandad, Brian Luck—a remarkable man with a deep passion for steam engines and model railways. He not only loved collecting die-cast cars and traction engines but also built a business around his passion, owning several Taskers traction engines and even a Ford Model T.

As a child, I remember him watching railway programs and crafting makeshift track gauges from cereal boxes, carefully measuring the correct spacing. Sadly, he never had the chance to build his own model railway, but his dedication to precision stuck with me. Years later, when I discovered 3D printing, that memory became the foundation for designing our own high-quality track gauges—helping fellow enthusiasts achieve the accuracy my grandad valued so much.

While others have since copied our designs, many fail to check their measurements, leading to incorrect track spacing. That’s why we take pride in ensuring every gauge we sell is designed with precision and care.
